Transmog Weapon List

My whore...I mean Weapon Seller...Yea

No one that I follow on Twitter has made a weapon list for transmog yet so I am taking it upon myself to start one. By no means is this a complete list and I'll be editing this page as I feel it warranted to do so.

My own set of "rules" or boundaries for the list are as follows:

1. Weapon sales are slow. Even the "top tier" BoE weapons tend to rot a bit on the AH. For that reason, I will try to only list items I know have solid sales records with myself and others. 
2. I do not sale Wands, Daggers, Guns, Fist weapons, or [Cross]Bows. Fists just aren't used, Wands aren't seen yet, Guns/Bows are bland and super slow sellers, and the hand-restrictions on Daggers make them frustrating to use for Transmog.
3. I provide no solid tier pricing. Since weapons are much harder sales than armor I will assume those that dig into it enough to search and sale weapons have a good feel for their server's transmog market. I do however sort the weapons in a "Tier" order with the best on top.   

1H Swords and 2H Axes seem to be the best weapons for faster selling (comparatively) great looking BoEs. Also you may notice far more rares than greens. Unlike armor, people tend to steer away from all but the most unique and awesome uncommon weapons.

Please note that Blade of Wizardry is main hand only and its not going to move fast right now with few decent caster swords to mog into it. I listed my top 2 1H "Japanese style" swords. There are uncommon swords in the same style (and a rare Assassination Blade) but they don't move near as fast. Phantom Blade is crafted and Ethereum Phase Blade is vendor so watch competition.

2H Axe
Nightfall
Glorious War-Axe
Lucky Strike Axe
Ghostly Battle Axe
Ogre Splitting Axe
Crystalforged War Axe
Huge Thorium Battleaxe
Lord Alexander's Battle Axe
Hellslayer Battle Axe

Nightfall and Huge Thorium are crafted, though rarely, watch for competition.  Don't under price the next four they are the bread and butter here. Crystalforged is popular but more common so expect competition. Hellslayer is a recolor of Executioner's Axe and a few uncommons, but they don't have the moving power so didn't make the list.

1H Mace:

Knight's War Hammer
Spirit-Clad Mace
Petrified Shinbone
Oggleflint's Inspirer

The main thing for 1H maces is there isn't much "awesome" here, most of the sellers either look silly like the first two or are shaped like something else like Excavator's Brand. The last two are shaped like bones and are not actually transmogable at this time, but that doesn't stop people from buying them to try.


The following categories need some work and/or don't have a vast assortment of options:

2H Sword:
Blade of Hanna
Duskbringer
Ta'Kierthan Songblade
Demonslayer
Doombringer
Warmonger
Dragon Wing Blade

The katanas aren't as fast moving as their 1H cousins, and both Duskbringer and Songblade are extremely rare. The uncommon katanas (plus rare Archaic Defender) just don't sale at all. Dragon Wing Blade is the same skin as Demon/Doom but suffers from the uncommon curse of selling else often.

2H Mace:
The Hammer of Destiny
The Judge's Gavel
Blood Knight Maul
The Oathkeeper

Blanchard's Stout is a recolor of The Judge's Gavel in gold, but I have had no luck moving it so YMMV. The Oathkeeper is a recolor of The Hammer of Destiny but falls much lower on list because it is super common.

1H Axe:
Axe of the Legion
Axe of Rin'ji
Silvermoon Crescent Axe

Axe of Rin'ji has an uncommon recolor Felstone Reaver that I cannot get to sale.

Polearm :
Banner Slicer
Blight

Banner Slicer is a unique and beautiful skin. Most other BoE polearms are very plain. Blight is probably the best selling Trident style model, watch for other crafters though.

Why no Staves? Because I've sold maybe 2 staves since Transmog has come out. Now if an Exodar Life-Staff showed up for nothing on the AH I'd definitely flip it, but I just don't pay much attention to BoE staves.

Extra Tip: Wands are going to be main hand weapons in MoP. I am going to consider stocking up on the best looking BoE ones to sale to the people that will undoubtedly be trying them out.
